I am not stuck living as a sinful world lives
If others act with prejudice, I can act in loving acceptance. Even if others look down on people that look, act, or think differently than they do, I can still treat them with dignity. The Gospel enables me to do so.
Galatians 3:26-28 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
James 2:1, 5, 8-9 …Do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism…Did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? …If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
Matthew 5:44b Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
